Program Meeting this Month
November 10 (Mon) – “Voices From The Other Side: German WWII Memoirs” by Jean Messinger. Descriptions by 26 ordinary citizens and former combat troops about life under the Nazis in prewar, war time and post war occupation. Most are now residents of Colorado, having gratefully emigrated here in the 1950s to live free and successful lives as Americans. Books for sale. Loveland Museum and Gallery, 503 North Lincoln at 7pm.
The Loveland Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation administered by volunteer members of the community. We support historic education and preservation of Loveland and the Big Thompson Valley by sponsoring educational programs, serving as a focal point for the community’s historical interests and activities, and supporting special projects of the Loveland Museum/Gallery.
In addition to our own efforts we also support community groups that share our passion for history, including the Downtown Loveland Association, Loveland Historic Preservation Commission, Novo Restoration, Inc., and the Stone Age Fair. The Loveland Historical Society also partners with other regional Historical Societies and museums.
Loveland Historical Society meets the second Monday of the month. See calendar for additional details.
