Loveland Civilian Conservation Corps Camp

Several sources have indicated that a possible depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps Camp was located west of Loveland, northeast of today's water filtration plant. If you can provide any information regarding this camp, please contact the Loveland Historical Society at mystery@lovelandhistorical.org.

Gene Hancock, Photographer

James Warren Andrews, a surveyor and historian at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, is searching for information regarding a Loveland photographer named Gene Hancock. History Mystery #3

The Chicken House

This photograph is of Loveland's Chicken House, located on the west side of Loveland on Highway 34, west of Wilson Ave at Rist Benson reservoir.  This picture was taken while work was being done to the building in the summer of 2008, exposing the old painted sign. If you known the history of the Chicken House or the building, please contact the Loveland Historical Society at mystery@lovelandhistorical.org.

Milner Schwarz House

The Loveland Historical Society is collaborating with the City of Loveland to preserve the Milner Schwarz house. This home was constructed in ca. 1873 and is located at the Fairgrounds Park. No known historical photographs exist of this home. If you know of a photograph of the Milner Schwarz house please contact the Loveland Historical Society at mystery@lovelandhistorical.org.

On the back of this undated photograph is written "Robert D. Miller Jr." The ribbon worn by Robert reads "Corn Roast, Sept 4, Loveland Colo."
